City of Edinburgh Bass Ensemble Inaugural Concert - 2011
In 2011, May Halyburton formed the City of Edinburgh Bass Ensemble, uniting double bassists (and some bass guitars) of school age across the city.
The SBT supported the first event where over 50 bassists adorned the stage of the Usher Hall during the City of Edinburgh Fanfare Concert in January 2012, performing a varied programme, culminating in a tribute to Lady Gaga!
